Bahia 95% PLS / 80% germination; common Bermuda 95% PLS / 85% germination; annual ryegrass 95% PLS / 90% germination. Sod (981-3): centipede, bahia, or bermuda at contractor option. Wildflowers optional (570-3.2); visible seedlings required within 45 days.
Bonded Fiber Matrix (BFM)
Section 570: prepackaged, 100% biodegradable, no germination-inhibiting or water-repelling crust, 100% soil coverage; the tackifier must not re-disperse on rewetting; requires manufacturer testing/certification and documented runoff/soil-loss reduction vs. blankets.
Hydromulch & PAM rules (570-3.4 / 3.5)
Hydroseed mulch must NOT contain reprocessed wood or paper fibers; ≥50% of fibers retained on a 25-mesh screen; polyacrylamide, if used, must be ANIONIC only with free-monomer residual under 0.05%; CATIONIC PAM is prohibited at any concentration; no PAM sprayed onto pavement.
